Like the K 1200 S, the focus of the K 1300 S lies on both performance and suitability for everyday use. After the first extended test ride, the development criteria were clear for the AC Schnitzer engineers: find a seating position in which the body weight is not always supported by the lower arms, while still retaining sporting attributes. This seating position was achieved with the new Superbike handlebar conversion, which brings the handlebars around 7 cm higher and closer to the rider.

The new BMW K 1200 R Sport forms the bridge between the "stripped down" K 1200 R and the fully-clothed K 1200 S. Barely launched, a complete accessory range is now available from AC Schnitzer that further reinforces the sporting nature of the "Sport". Particularly striking are the superlight AC S 1 forged rims, which with their low weight of under 8 kg ensure even better performance and handling.

A double strike against boredom – BMW has developed two machines in which only one thing counts: "Sport, Sport, Sport". True to this motto, the AC Schnitzer designers and engineers set to work on the R 1200 S and F 800 S. Top of the priority list was the systematic extension of the sporting line.
