The BMW M Bike Carbon Racer by AC Schnitzer

The Aachen-based company impressively demonstrates the potential for weight saving by the lightweight construction of the BMW M Bike Carbon Racer by AC Schnitzer. Exceptionally, the new project concerns an unmotorised vehicle powered by muscle power alone.

All the more important then is the 12.7 percent weight reduction which the tuning specialists have succeeded in making on the racing bike. Now weighing just 6.9 kg - instead of the 7.9 kg as standard - the riding dynamics of the BMW M Bike Carbon Racer have perceptibly improved.

"Lightness in Bikes" has been achieved by replacing components:  new carbon wheels were developed in collaboration with the specialist "Xentis“. The carbon saddle and the carbon saddle support combined with a new crank, reduce the weight and maximise the dynamics for the same muscle power of the rider.

The equivalent to the cyclist's muscle power for the bike is the engine in the BMW and MINI models by AC Schnitzer. And here too, AC Schnitzer is dominant with improved dynamics thanks to weight reduction.
