In addition, the AC Schnitzer performance upgrade has extensive additional parameters to protect the transmission and drive train, such as the cold start control (the boost is only activated from approx. 1,000 rpm and an oil temperature of 80° C) and the heat control (from a water temperature of 115° C the system automatically reverts to standard performance). For all AC Schnitzer performance upgrades, we provide a country-dependent warranty from the day of first registration with a mileage of up to 100,000 km on the components moved by the engine. The engine tuning warranty is free of charge for our customers. A parts certificate is also included.

Our diesel performance upgrades consist of a control unit for retrofitting. The engine control unit processes data based on engine speed and accelerator pedal position and sends it to the injectors. By modifying the injection times of the injectors, we achieve a power increase of up to 20%, depending on the model. This power increase results from the longer injection times, which means more fuel reaches the combustion chamber. This results in a higher engine efficiency. With chip tuning from AC Schnitzer, it is not so much the performance that is optimized, but above all the torque - for lively acceleration and increased driving pleasure.

Performance upgrades for diesel vehicles: Technical information

AC Schnitzer performance upgrades for diesel engines undergo extensive test series on race tracks, test benches and in everyday road traffic. These test series last up to 9 months and several 10,000 km. As part of the development process, the engine speed range in which the highest torque increase is achieved is verified. This is followed by a controlled reduction of the modified parameters for the high speed range >5,000 rpm. This prevents the engine from overheating during long, fast trips. The standard protection parameters for the engine are maintained with the AC Schnitzer chip tuning.
